About: Matt Dene from Chatham, England

"Matt is the ex-lead singer of 5 piece Original Rock Band Dayfall who were based in Kent. Matt Dene was the songwriter as well as lead vocalist. Matt formed Dayfall in 2004 because he wanted to get his music heard, as it is a little different from the norm. He writes all his songs on Cubase, and are keyboard based...Our original material was frequently likened to our influences, "a cross between 'Nine Inch Nails' and 'Depeche Mode..."


1). Do you have a phobia? If yes - what?
I do not have any phobias as far as I am aware :)

2). If you wouldn't have become an artist, what would you be? 
If I had not become a musician I would like to have gone into music journalism

3). What is your "formula for success"?
Perseverance and self-belief in what I am doing and learning how to promote myself - My partner has been very understanding!!

4). If you had a chance to perform a live concert in any of these 3 countries: India, Congo, Iraq - what would it be and why?
India - Some of my songs have had previously had an "Indian" theme in terms of beats and rythm - I like the energy

5). If you started a social networking project/website, what would you call it?
MyFace LOL - Probably something like Musicbook
