Featured Artist interview: Meera (E47)

About: Meera from Malaga

"I am a singer songwriter living in Malaga, Spain. I have formed a band called Fable 44 playing sacred contemporary music. I have been a musician all of my life but have only just started to trust that I can be who I am."

1). How would you spend a million dollars if you had it?
I would buy new equipment to record - I´m using a G4 mac with logic 6 and feel a bit limited sometimes. A new mic, new keyboard etc. Solar power so I don´t get cut off every so often for not paying! travel to see my Brother in california and give him the money he needs to adopt a child and get back to having a home (he´s lost his because of the recession)

2). What was the craziest thing to happen in your life?
Playing a live gig when I was 19 in Scicilly to a crew of submarine naval officers who hadn´t been on dry land for 6 months!

3). What kind of message is in your music? Why or for what reason do you write music?
Mostly I write about Being - Being who we are - asking questions on who we really are - getting past the ego, what is real freedom etc. I always hope to inspire the listener to look and be aware even though our lives are so full and our minds are so busy.

4). What would you do if the world was going to end in 3 hours?
Initially scream! ha ha, I´m a mother so I suppose my answer is a little boring - I mean I would just be with my familly and try to soothe their fears - maybe we would sing and meditate - I believe that death is a portal not an end - I would want to be very conscious!

5). If you were a professional sportsman, what sport would you play?
I´m passionate about horses so I guess It would be and equestrian sport - really like these natural horsemanship shows that are popular now.
