Featured Artist interview: Charly Bonavita (E51)

About: Charly Bonavita from Buenos Aires

"I'm a musician from Argentina, I am preparing a musical project, writing a lot, and I decided to show some of what I do on the Internet while I work and slowly looking for musicians interested in playing with me. From the age of 11 I play guitar as an autodidact, and since 2008 I start to study drums. Recently I began to practice as self-taught on keyboards as well. In 2009 I joined a band called Marea Spika, as a drummer, and now I am doing my own solo music. I have proposed, as a multi-instrumentalist musician stationed in the above instruments, but also experienced in all the instruments at my reach, with the idea to be me who's run at all when I'm recording, except a collaboration of a friend . Hope you get my vibrations."

1).How would you spend a million dollars if you had it?
If I had a million dollars now, I'd like to buy everything I need to have a good studio recording.
I'd like too to Travel the world, and invest money to go out and play my music with a band and knowing other musicians.

2).What was the craziest thing to happen in your life?
Well, a lot of a crazy things has happened in my life, haha...but for sure I can remember strange situations when was traveling in Argentina.
In the montains, I've seen strange lights shining in the middle of the night, between the montains and the trees, and I heard very rare sounds, and it was like a storm of lights, just for a few minutes... It's hard to believe, but is real.

3).What kind of message is in your music? Why or for what reason do you write music?
I'm trying to show that we all have something to transmit, even without words, and I think that the music is a powerfull way to show how we feel. And just like feelings, I believe that the music is always changing. That's why I believe the music can help to change the world, for better, if we all share what we feel and we transmit our vibrations, maybe this can help to understand us each other, or at least to comunicate in a good way.
And I'm sharing just the first steps of my music, and trying to make it better as I can.

4).What would you do if the world was going to end in 3 hours?
I think that I wouldn't do nothing different of what I do. In the end, we never know when we'll go of this world. Like The Beatles says, Tomorrow Never Knows.

5).If you were a professional sportsman, what sport would you play?
I’m not a good sportsman, but I like to play Football Soccer.
