About: Kaitee Dal Pra ,young and very talented singer from Alberta
"Kaitee wrote the songs for Autumn Rust throughout her high school years, marking her passage from teen to womanhood. The musical portrait of love, friendship, and life as a small town girl is an independent release featuring 12 songs penned and performed by Kaitee and a host of local talents. With the help of Earl McAuley, producer and co-writer, Kaitee's songs come to life in the studio and on local stages.
A range of moods and styles are found throughout the album, from the playful nature of the country two-feel of The Hoefer's, to the hopeful and tender ballad of emergence, Goodbye High School. The country shuffle of Autumn Rust, the title track, is a lyrical painting of summer, while the rock feel of What Are Your Friends For speaks of fierce loyalty and the power of friendship. Pop/rock gems, Closer to Alive and Dangerous reflect the joys and perils of a blossoming music career, while Country Girl, a country-rock ballad, is an intimate view of the artist's final steps to adulthood. Overall these are songs of substance - yet there's a compelling innocence, and much like the artist herself, they're natural, genuine and graceful."
1). What is the most exotic/extraordinary place you have ever performed at?
The most extraordinary place I’ve ever played at is at a wedding. One of the guests asked if I could come and sing at the wedding so I said yes. I didn’t meet the bride or groom until after I sang. The wedding was in a huge white tent just outside of a beautiful log house in the country (that Brad Pitt lived in while he was filming Legends of the Fall in Alberta). There were awesome Fireworks, good Champagne and I ate more Indian food in that night than I had ever eaten in my entire life.
2). When you are 70 – how do you see your life?
I hope to upgrade the hand print on the driveway to a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame Haha. I see myself living in Greece where I will write novels and songs for other artists.
3). If you could talk to any of the rock-stars, dead or alive, whom would you talk to and what would you ask?
I would talk to Brad Paisley and ask him if he would write and sing a song with me. And then make an awesome music video!
4). What countries and cities would you like to visit the most during the tour?
I would love to tour all of Europe; North America doesn’t have any deep history like Europe does. I would also love to film a music video in Egypt amongst pyramids with camels instead of horses.
5). Which famous band/artist you would be glad to share the stage with?
Brad Paisley, Madonna or Garth Brooks. Or all three : )

ReplyDeleteGood voice, great fun video on you tube, and a confident lassie in front of camera.
There is something so unique, so sweet about this girls voice... She carries an overabundance of talent....she has more than her fair share, lol..
ReplyDeleteLet me say it this way. I can break world records flying to the radio to shut off Shania or Sugarland. I never request songs to be played by our local radio station...but this child....I would be a daily caller to hear her sing.
I'm going to plug her on my facebook page also.
I would like to tell that young girl that I think she is fabulous! One of my older daughter's listened to the video on you tube...and said the same...loved her voice on both You Tube and Myspace.
How old is she? Is she trying for a career as a musician? Love the You tube video.
ReplyDeleteShe is adorable.
