Chris Timms - progressive rock, Australia (E93)

About: Chris Timms , extremly talented, God inspired guitarist from Brisbane

"For over 20 years, Chris has been studying the guitar earnestly and contributing to the live music scene in Brisbane. Taking lessons from various guitar teachers at an early age and then moving into band projects, he has performed in many bands with varying styles.
These include, Fourth Axe (Heavy Metal), Mansfield State High School Stage Band (Jazz), ZFX (Progressive Instrumental Fusion Band), Spinning Silver (Progressive Metal), MindsAlike (Hard Rock), Neverworld (Metal) and City Church Creative Team (Christian worship).
He’s performed the covers of over 300 well known artists with bands such as Crywolf, Liquidate, Mantra, The Beam and many more in various venues across Queensland, N.S.W and Northern Territory. Gaining a reputation as being a musician who can “fill in at the last minute,” he’s filled in for bands like Chester, Just been Tasered, and up and coming local artists like Stephen Carmichael. Other highlights of his career include supporting Australian bands like The Screaming Jets and The Angels and playing at well known venues in Brisbane like The Zoo and The Hi Fi Bar.
Chris’ first progressive rock/metal solo album “The Journey Home” (out May 27), features some of Chris’ finest music to date. He wrote, performed and produced all 8 tracks within his home studio."

1). What is the best time of the day for you to compose your music?
I normally find I'm at my most creative night time, early hours of the morning however creativity has known to come along at other times as well

2). If you could choose, in what country and in what century would you like to live?
This century, this country definitely. However, if i were able to visit periodically, I would love to go back to early 80's!

3). What is your favourite meal?
I love Italian food. Pizza, pasta MMMM

4). If you were a writer, what would be the main idea of your book and what would you name it?
I think it would be cool to put together a story set in the not too distant future. The world being not so different from where we are at now but people have lost the ability to communicate and relate to each other- 90% of all communication being through a technological medium. No title ideas yet, one of those passing ideas!

5). You had a million dollars and only 24 hours to spend it, what would your actions be?
Firstly set my parents up with whatever they wanted, donate part of it to a church and the rest to setup a recording studio with distribution ability, and open the studio for cheap to up and coming artists.
