Junction23 - Alternative/Rock, UK (E94)

About: Junction23 , cool trio from Wigan

"We're a 3 piece Alternative/Rock band from Wigan. We've played around Wigan, Bolton, Liverpool and Lymm at places from the Indiependence Club to the Cavern Club.
We're always looking for gigs and we always get a massive buzz after playing on stage. We aren't just motivated by money, but by making music that we enjoy playing and hopefully putting on a great show and meeting class people. We've already met plenty of bands from gigs we've played, and we've even played with the band Pegasus Bridge. It's all good.
We're always practising and writing new stuff, and hopefully we'll progress to be more well known. Who knows? We'll take it as it comes and just enjoy what we do."

1). What is the best time of the day for you to compose your music?
I don't think there's a particular time, it's more when I'm in the right mood, have the right inspiration and I'm not in school. Sometimes when I'm lying in bed I can write riffs in my head randomly and then I work them out on the guitar, though they don't always sound as good as they did in my head.

2). If you could choose, in what country and in what century would you like to live?
I think I'd stay right here in England, but I'd love to be born into the 50s of the 20th century. The vast majority of the music that me and the band listen to is from the 60s onwards, and I'd love to have been born early enough to hear the music when it first came out! To see a band like the Beatles or Led Zeppelin would be incredible.

3). What is your favourite meal?
My favourite meal would have to be either Justin Beiber's sweat band after he's written a musical masterpiece (note the obvious sarcasm) or lasagne. Nothing too exotic.

4). If you were a writer, what would be the main idea of your book and what would you name it?
If I was a writer and I actually had the skills that you require to be a good one, I'd love to be able to write a novel about something really qwerky and odd. A book a tiny bit like 'the curious incident of the dog in the night-time' but with a different story. That book is brilliant!

5). You had a million dollars and only 24 hours to spend it, what would your actions be?
Well, firstly I'd convert the cash into British pounds so I could spend the money over here in England. Then I'd buy every guitar that I've ever wanted and buy a massive house to store them in. Then I'd build a quality recording studio, and of course I'd buy my mum and dad a huge house to live in together.
I'd probably buy a nice car as well, but who wouldn't?
