The Cry Baby: London UK based trip-hop act. (E103)

About: The Cry Baby

The Cry Baby, London UK based trip-hop band

This stylish and atmospheric music weaves an invisible canvas around you, Anna Waldmann's voice carried you away, plunging over and over again in your dreams and memories. Song which you can hear in ArenaCast E103 will be a part of 3 track EP that should be released in March.

1. Is there a story behind your song Lullaby?
Lullaby is kind of an analogy for going through life asleep because you're not doing what you should be or you're with people that aren't right for you so it's easier to sleep through it than wake up and do something about it if that makes any sense at all.

2. What do you think of episode 103? Which of the other featured songs do you like the most?
Liking Alces I by Grand Elk. Love his voice and the guitar rifs. I love Scandinavion music it sounds like the landscape a lot of the time and I like the landscape.

3. What bands from your country/city would you recommend to those who like your music?
I'm really into Little Dragon and Submotion Orchestra at the moment.

4. Tell us about your video to Memo. Who was working on it? Who created the idea and concept?

I went to my friend Tim Walker's house near Brighton. He is an amazing DOP and he had some wicked ideas involving projecting images of the outside environment on my face. Then me walking outside trying to pretend to look sad, then the light fades and the flowers wilt cause the song is about letting someone go and then everything that you thought felt like home, doesn't anymore. I still have no idea if anything I'm saying is making sense haha sorry :)

5.Do you have any other interests besides music?
I like biscuits.
