About: Aqualash

Aqualash: trip-hop\dream-pop indie act from Australia played in E105 of ArenaCast

You may find a thousand words to explain simple things or playing a couple of right notes and singing a couple of right words and tell in all that you feel this way.
Aqualash has mastered the second method to perfection.

Grassfight: New York, US based indie/pop/rock trio (E105)

About: Grassfight

Grassfight: New York, US based indie/pop/rock trio played in E105 of ArenaCast

Their music is pulsating like blood in your veins. Hypnotic Mark`s rhythms are complemented by a deep, shoegazing sound of Nathan`s guitar and monolithic T. New`s bass. All of this together create a truly fantastic picture, the last strokes of which are bright T. New`s back vocals and the recitative, tenacious Nathan`s vocal. The debut Grassfight EP called "Icon" is available for free download on the Grassfight official site.

1. How do you see yourself in 5 years? What is your main goal as a band?
We see ourselves driving through Arizona on a big, chartered tour bus thinking "Tucsan was great, maybe we should play one of the new song's for the Las Vegas crowd tonight, these cactuses are huge." We want to be bigger than Tide.

Duke: alternative rock band from Venezuela (E105)

About: Duke

Duke: alternative rock band from Venezuela played in E105 of ArenaCast

They take a DIY philosophy and make their music without any support of a label in a small home studio. Maybe that's why every note of their songs are replete with pure emotion, buyout just can not leave you indifferent.
You can download a free promotional version of the album with four tracks from Duke`s official site.

1. How do you see yourself in 5 years? What is your main goal as a band?
The most important is stay together and be able to keep making music, that is something that we love infinitely. And, with a little bit of ambition, within 5 years we hope to play our music outside of the frontiers of our country, Venezuela.
That should be so cool!!!

Rattlin bone: voodoo\jazz\blues band from London, UK (E105)

About: Rattlin bone

Rattlin bone: voodoo swamp jazz/blues band from London, UK played in E105 of ArenaCast

One night, Tom Waits was awakened by strange sounds coming out of his window. He took a sip of pure whiskey, came to the window and saw some moving unclear grotesque shadows outside playing some strange music. There were skeletons, zombies and some evil spirits making noises and rattling their bones ... what?
It was not Tom Waits? Maybe it was Mr. Wily Bo Walker?
Have I messed it all up and it was not so?
Well then ask Rattlin Bone themselves :)

1. How do you see yourself in 5 years? What is your main goal as a band?
In 5 years hopefully we'll have made enough money to leave the swamp! :-) In truth we just want to make enough money to keep on writing, recording and playing live.

Kodakid: indie-rockers from Waterford, Ireland (E105)

About: Kodakid

Kodakid: indie-rockers from Waterford, Ireland played in E105 of ArenaCast

They capture the spirit of the Black Keys and the Stone Roses but in their own unique way. Kodakid play high-quality indie rock and even the toughest skeptic claiming that the era of rock`n`roll has passed away with the 70s couldn't stop their feet from tapping along to these songs.
Turn the volume up when you listen to Kodakid!

1. How do you see yourself in 5 years? What is your main goal as a band?
Hopefully with a successful album under our belt and playing some of the best venues and festivals across Europe. Making money isn't a big priority for us as there isn't much in music any more, we just want to get our music out to as many people as possible and get to play it for them live.

Little Room: alternative indie rock duo from London, UK (E105)

About: Little Room

Little Room: Alternative indie rock duo from London, UK played in E105 of ArenaCast

Their music is a breath of the metropolis. The sound of millions of hearts, a hymn of the skyscrapers roofs in the gray sky. The mixture of all possible genres and styles. Dark and attractive as the night that falls on your city and full of hope as the first rays of the sun.
Immerse into an incredible atmosphere of the sounds of Little Room. Their debut EP `Under the Lights We Fade` is already available for download on iTunes.

1. How do you see yourself in 5 years? What is your main goal as a band?
In 5 years we want to own the moon.

Run To Me: unsigned alternative rock band from Bracknell Forest, UK (E105)

About: Run To Me

Run To Me: unsigned alternative rock band from Bracknell Forest, UK played in E105 of ArenaCast

At the first acquaintance with the music of Run To Me you may think that the Adam Blake`s vocals is not expressive enough for such driving music, but from the first chorus, you will find yourself thinking: Wow, his vocals are just perfectly combined with music, creating their own flavor, making all their songs unique.
You can download the debut EP from the Run To Me on their Bandcamp page and find information about upcoming concerts on their Facebook page.

1. How do you see yourself in 5 years? What is your main goal as a band?
We have no idea how we see ourselves in five years’ time, hopefully our band can continue but life get more complicated as you get older! I think our main goal was to enjoy the time we had in the band, and to see what it was like to be in a band. If it wasn’t enjoyable then it wasn’t worth doing, and it has been great so far much better than we anticipated.

ArenaCast Episode 105

February 9 - March 11

Back on track with the Areancast! Sorry for my absence I shall do my best in the future to meet the deadlines for new episodes! As usual it's a great mix of original new music from all over the globe plus my usual trac of the week. I was a little disheveled on this weeks show being thrust unprepared back into the hot seat - but I hope you enjoy!

The Kaines: indie rock band from
the UK (E104)

About: The Kaines

The Kaines: Rock originals band from Norfolk played in E104 of ArenaCast

A delicate indie rock sound of The Kaines consists of smooth rhythm, reminiscent tango, crystal sound of solo guitar and confident moves of bass and riffs of rythm guitar. Taylor's vocal perfectly conveys the mood of whole composition. It sounds like a secular salons music of the 19th century, played on modern instruments.

1. How do you see yourself in 5 years? What is your main goal as a band?
In 5 years, hopefully we'll be in a better position that what we are now! Probably looking along the lines of writing and recording a psychedelic album.
