ASEK Musik: indie electronic act from Bowdoin, Maine, US played in E105 of ArenaCast

ASEK Musik - is an electronic project of a 15 year old guy - Ryan Freeman. Ryan produces electronic dance music, such as dubstep, techno, house, etc. Check out Ryan`s R&R World profile for more tunes :)

1. How do you see yourself in 5 years? What is your main goal as a band?
I'm actually 15 right now so in 5 years anything is really possible. Honestly music is my one true love and I cannot see myself not being a musician. In 5 years I hope to be still playing music, whether it's this electronic stuff I make now or in a completely different genre.
My ultimate goal as a musician is really just to have fun. Deadmau5 is one of my influences and the way he interacts with fans is actually one of the reasons why being a musician is so appealing to me. I'd love to make it my career, and I know the chances are slim, but I do believe I have the attitude and ability to do this for my life.

2. Can you name some peculiarities that define the music scene in your town/country?
I believe that the Maine music scene is really just like any other scene, just on a much smaller scale. We have our good bands, our bad bands, and a ridiculous amount of music genres. A lot of young talent too. I actually have many friends trying to get out there. We also have a pretty good hip-hop scene, which is pretty funny to me because people don't usually associate Maine with the hip-hop genre, but we have artists like Conman, Millz, and Matwoo Kyo that are actually making it pretty well along.

3. What do you think of episode 106? Which of the other featured songs do you like the most?
I'm actually listening to it right now. I love all music genres and I absolutely love all the songs I have heard. My personal favorite right now is "Walking Blind" by Dixon Did It. (I'm curious about the name as well, pretty awesome. :D)

4. Is there a story behind your song "Sound of my Dream"?
There's not really much story behind it. It's a remix of DJ Melodie's song by the same name. I found the acapella of the track and I absolutely loved the voice and the lyrics so I composed a little piano melody to go with it. I then put the melody and vocal track over one of my club-house tracks and then found it to be a bit plain... So I then made the decision to spice it up a bit, throw some heavy bass and some hard synths and put my own little personal spin on the track. It actually isn't completely finished yet either. :P

5. Please share your nearest plans. What are you currently working on?
I feel like I rambled on a bit in this, oh well. You caught me in one of those talkative moods. I'm gonna throw a few links down at the bottom for people interested in my music. Also, if anyone wants to directly contact me... asekmusik@gmail.com
