'Imagine sitting cross-legged in a cosy folk kitchen, flanked by two delicious and freshly baked pies. On the left sits a hearty steaming rock 'n' roll pie, while on the right sits a golden sweet pop pie. Your hands are thrust deeply into each of their juicy centres, and you have a beaming smile on your face. That’s what listening to our music is like'.
1. How do you see yourself in 5 years? What is your main goal as a band?
As a band we live in different countries and we all have full time jobs so we're not a conventional band but we're close childhood friends and we will always be so. In 5 years time I imagine we'll still be getting together when we can to play songs - our main goal as a band is to enjoy ourselves and if anyone else enjoys our music that's all the better.
2. Can you name some peculiarities that define the music scene in your town/country?
Paris has a buzzing open mic scene and the audiences are very receptive, people also tend to have parties with bands playing so you get to curate your own shows and be very close to the audience.
3. What do you think of episode 110? Which of the other featured songs do you like the most?
There's some good rock on the latest podcast, I particularly enjoyed Patriot Rebel who rock in a good unpretentious way, somewhere between the Foo Fighters and Guns and Roses.
4. Is there a story behind your song "Like Shrapnel"?
'Like Shrapnel' is a break up song at heart but it's really about how all the relationships and break ups we have during our life-time sculpt our personalities and directly affect who we become. It's also a consolation song, we remember those we love by the battle scars we proudly bear.
5. Please share your nearest plans. What are you currently working on?
My girlfriend is about to have our baby so I think I'll be working on that for the near future, hopefully I can fit in some song writing too!! My next plan is to release another EP of new simply arranged songs next year, get back together with the band, drink some good whisky and partake in some serious banter.
