About: Cathy Jewson

Cathy Jewson: singer songwriter from Ludchurch, UK played in E114 of the ArenaCast

"Superman is part of an EP I released October 2011, called "Woah". It's available to buy on iTunes and Amazon mp3, and available for streaming on Spotify.
I recently played the largest biker festival in Europe, The Bulldog Bash, and I'm currently looking for gigs. I have a facebook page, where people can contact me."

1. Is there a story behind your song "Superman"?
The song is basically about not having to be strong for yourself all the time, how having the courage to make an important choice sometimes takes time, and that it's ok to accept support from people if you need it.

2. Describe your music in 3 words.
Chilled, eclectic, and mine!

3. Describe your perfect gig - where would it be?
Honestly, anywhere where the audience enjoys my music. My aim is to make people smile, and hopefully think, wherever they are.

4. What do you think of episode 114? Which of the other featured songs do you like the most?
I love it! It's so refreshing to see female artists getting centre stage as I feel so much of the music industry is male-dominated. I couldn't pick a favourite, every artist on here has a unique style and I admire them all.

5. What would you and your band do if tomorrow was the end of the world?
Probably try to finish the songs I'm working on and die happy (haha)!
