About: Six to the Wheels
"When referencing horse power, you have horse power to the wheels. Aaron "A-WAL" used to have a Camaro with 600 hps to the rear wheels. The girl he was with at the time totaled it, so the band is named as a tribute."
1. Is there a story behind your song "Fists Instead of Hands"?
We have a friend who is an MMA fighter. He as about to have his first fight so we decided to write him a walkout song. Well just about that time, he was in a motorcycle accident and lost one of his legs below the knee. He decided to continue to pursue MMA and is now the only MMA fighter commissioned to fight with a prosthetic leg. The song is about pushing through an obstacle and we wrote it for him.
2. Describe your music in 3 words.
Rock, Metal, Blues.
3. Describe your perfect gig - where would it be?
It would be at The Tabernacle in Atlanta, GA with a rowdy crowd. I don't think we care too much about other details, as long as the crowd is engaged and people are having fun.
4. What do you think of episode 116? Which of the other featured songs do you like the most?
Loved it. I really appreciated the quality and variety of the other bands being featured. I really liked Wild Widow. They have that raw and bluesy vibe that we also like.
5. What would you do if tomorrow was the end of the world?
I think if we were down to one day, we would probably grab friends and loved ones and hangout drinking beers, telling stories, playing the acoustics and making sure everyone knows how much that matter to us. If we had more than a day, I am thinking we crash a huge venue, grab all the other local bands we have played with over the last few years and have an all out Atlanta rock fest with bottomless PBRs.
